DENNY'S & COLONEL JOHN'S CZ's
Here are two examples of a pistol that needs very little modification or refinement. The CZ-75 platform has been copied by numerous countires and munfacturers. The system is boringly reliable and rugged. At risk of infuriating all the 1911 and Jeff Cooper fans, in the world, let us remember this. . .Even Colonel Cooper stated the CZ-75 design is better than the 1911 and was, of course, used as the platform for the Bren-Ten. Feel free to scream and punch your computer or throw your smart phone now.
Both of these CZ’s share similar features and enhancements.
Slides were cut for Novak Low Mount rear sigh dovetails. The gray BD model has a Kensight rear and fiber optic front. The green Pre-B model has one of my modified Heinie rears and a gold bead front.
Both pistols have serrated front and back straps, softened edges and controls, beveled mag wells and polished feed ways.
While the BD model has a set of original, plastic grips, that were slightly rounded, the Pre-B wears VZ, G10, checkered grips.
These pistols shoot as well, or better than, a new production specimen and both were, heavily used, surplus, Police or Military issue. I don’t think you could wear one of these out!
